A tire is a strong, flexible rubber casing attached to the rim of a wheel. Tires provide a grippingsurface for traction and serve as a cushion for the wheels of a moving vehicle.Tires are found on automobiles, trucks, buses, aircraft landing gear, tractorsand other farm equipment, industrial vehicles such as forklifts, and commonconveyances such as baby carriages, shopping carts, wheel chairs, bicycles, andmotorcycles.
Tires for mostvehicles are pneumatic. Air is held under pressure inside the tire. Until recently, pneumatic tires had an inner tube to hold the air pressure, but now pneumatictires are designed to form a pressure seal with the rim of the wheel.
The proposed plantwill be designed to produce passenger car ranging in size from 12 to 18 inch, light trucks ranging in size from 16 to 20 inch and trucks tires ranging insize from 20 to 24 inch.
The capacity of theplant will be 528,000 tire per year with the passenger tires representing 75%of the total plant output, while light trucks and Trucks tires representing 15%and 10% of the total plant output, respectively.
