• Chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), also known asanthium dioxide and chlorine peroxide, is used in the water treatment purposesdue to its outstanding properties and the way in which it reacts.

• In this project chlorine dioxide is proposed inpowder form which easily can be produced in tablet form and the last can beproduced by compressing the powder for easer handling and better marketing.

• Chlorine dioxide is used in pulp bleaching, flourbleaching and water treatment. It can also be used to disinfect the air and isused in some mouthwashes and toothpastes.
