One of the main objectives of GOIC is to promote economic development through industrialization of GCC member states. The pre feasibility report is aimed at presenting a viable and appropriate industrial project mainly for investment by private sector.

This pre-feasibility study report is to set up an industrial project to manufacture 2,000 ton of aluminium die castings made for automotive industry. The international automotive industry has put great emphasis to reducing vehicle weight by using aluminium products. The use of aluminium for automotive sector has increased from 100 kg/vehicle in 2000 to aroud 150 kg/vehicle in 2005.By 2010, analysts expect the aluminization rate to increase to 10 percent at which time demand is projected to reach 1.5 million tons. This compares to last year's total of 1.2 million tons. Thus, average yearly growth will be 2.5 percent, assuming vehicle production in Japan holds steady at around 10 million units. The demand of aluminium die castings would accordingly rise to automotive industry.
