One of the main objectives of GOIC is to promote economic development through industrialization of GCC member states. The pre feasibility report is aimed at presenting a viable and appropriate industrial project mainly for investment by private sector.

The proposed plant would manufacture composite multilayer Al-Plastic (PEX-AL-PEX) flexible pipes / tubes of small sizes. It will have installed capacity of 754 MT of pipes of four different sizes such as 16, 20, 25 and 32 mm OD (outer diameter) pipes. This would be the first project to make composite Al-Plastic pipes in the GCC countries. The inner and outer layers of composite multilayer pipes will be made of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX); and its middle layer will be aluminum combined with bonding agent (glue). It has most of the advantages of plastic pipe and metallic pipe. Its advantages are lightweight, easy bending, very low wastage, 100% oxygen tight, anti-rust, corrosion resisting, and acid resistant. It is widely used in the transportation of hot and cold water, beverages, gases, heating liquid or shipbuilding pipe. These pipes have average life of over 50 years.
